These pages list the names of French-speaking people and families in New Mexico since the 1500s. They include French, French Canadians, and others associated with the history of New Mexico and France.
I update the list as I find new names. There are names not yet included in this list, some are under the other tabs (priests, Albuquerque, Civil War etc.), some are yet to be found.
I have separately compiled biographies and references for many of these names. The final list of names will be assembled in a companion biographical volume. I am in contact with descendants of many of these families in New Mexico, the rest of the United Sates, Canada, and France.
I will be happy to share more detailed information upon request.
I would appreciate any contribution to this list.
Thank you.
