The Albuquerque Genealogical Society is a non-profit organization, founded in 1972, with three main goals: to promote genealogy, to provide educational aid to researchers, and to support the genealogical collection and services of the Genealogy Center in the Albuquerque Main Library. The Society offers frequent workshops and classes to beginning genealogical researchers. The Genealogy Center in the Albuquerque Main Library at 501 Copper, NW is the meeting place for most of the AGS sponsored computer user groups and several research groups. All are free and open to the public.

We in Cerrillos realized we were losing our town history. With a few facts and many stories several residents formed a Historical Society. Our goal was to plaque the buildings with their histories. We went to the State Archives and area libraries looking for history on the owners of each building. Curry County Genealogical Society
The goals of the Curry County Genealogical Society are to prtepare, publish and to preserve records of genealogical value. Meetings are held at 7pm in the Genealogy Room at the Clovis-Carver Public Library, 7th and Main Streets, Clovis, NM the first Monday of January through May and September through November with the September meeting on the 2nd Monday evening. No meetings are held in June, July, August, or December. Any interested person is invited.
