American-French Genealogical Society
The American-French Genealogical Society, formed in February of 1978, is a non-profit genealogical and historical organization devoted to people of French-Canadian extraction. Its purpose is to study and preserve our rich heritage by assisting members in discovering their ancestors and the daily events that shaped their, and our, lives.

Conceived in partnership with France’s national library, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, France in America /France en Amérique is a bilingual digital library made available by the Library of Congress. It explores the history of the French presence in North America from the first decades of the 16th century to the end of the 19th century.

Society for French Historical Studies
The Society is a permanent organization of historians of France. Its purpose is to promote scholarly work in any and all aspects of French history. It carries out this purpose chiefly through the holding of annual meetings, the publication of a journal, and the awarding of prizes for outstanding scholarly achievement. Since 1993 the Society has been a constituent member of the American Council of Learned Societies.
Western Society for French History
The Western Society for French History seeks to promote the study of French and Francophone history. Its international membership includes university faculty and graduate students, independent scholars, and amateur historians in the general public from across the United States and Canada, as well as from France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and many other countries.
The Chouteau Society
The main mission is to erect historical markers, monuments and statues in the Kansas City Metropolitan area memorializing the French heritage and outstanding personages figuring in said heritage.
