This is a catalogue of a wide range of documents, ranging from manuscripts, rare books, pamphlets, periodicals, broadsides, ephemera to maps and illustrative material. The majority of the material is unique.

American Journeys
American Journeys contains more than 18,000 pages of eyewitness accounts of North American exploration, from the sagas of Vikings in Canada in AD1000 to the diaries of mountain men in the Rockies 800 years later.

Center for Southwest Research, University of New Mexico
The Center for Southwest Research and Special Collections (CSWR) specializes in interdisciplinary subjects relating to New Mexico, the Southwestern U.S., Mexico and Latin America, as well as rare materials from around the world. Its strengths include Native American, Chicano/Hispano, Latin American, Spanish Colonial, and environmental history, plus a wide range of locally published and archival materials documenting the region. 

Descendants of Mexican War Veterans
The purpose, aims and objectives of this organization are many, revolving around the purpose of associating in one united body, descendants of American military veterans of the U.S.-Mexican War of 1846-1848 and to cultivate and perpetuate the ties of fraternity and friendship entailed thereof.

Old Spanish Trail Association
To study, preserve and protect, interpret and educate, and promote respectful use of the Old Spanish National Historic Trail and closely related historic routes.

Oregon-California Trails Association
The Oregon-California Trails Association is the nation’s largest and most influential organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of overland emigrant trails and the emigrant experience.

The Oregon Pioneers
This site started in 1989 and is an ongoing project that focuses on the pioneers of the Oregon Territory up to and including 1855. Wheels That Won The West is an organization that seeks to discover the histories of horse drawn vehicle manufacture. The Wheels That Won The West® collection  contains scarce imagery, specifications, correspondence, promotional literature and other all-but-forgotten historical details of the workings of America’s early western transportation industry.

Western and Cowboy Poetry
CowboyPoetry.com celebrates our Western heritage and today’s working West, dedicated to preserving our important history and to promoting the Western arts that carry on those traditions.  It’s a part of the non-profit Center for Western and Cowboy Poetry. The Center was formed to serve a mostly rural and underserved community of Western writers, musicians, and artists; to help preserve Western and Cowboy Poetry and its associated arts; to offer a central resource for poets, libraries, schools, and the public; and to educate the public about the history and value of Western and Cowboy Poetry and its associated arts.

Westerners International
The purpose of the Westerners is fun and scholarship related to the North American frontier West. “Westerners share a dislike for stuffed-shirtism, over-seriousness, shiftless thinking, and above all ignorance,” wrote the late Ray Allen Billington, historian. Western traditions prevail in all meetings of Westerners.
